The Waking Hour, by Dalis Car.

Note: Dalis Car, not Dali's Car!

Dalis Car was an English group formed by Peter Murphy, the voice of Bauhaus, Mick Karn from the band Japan and Paul Lawford.

They released only one experimental album, in 1984: The Waking Hour - an album that I proudly own (as a Bauhaus fan).

Below you can see my copy: an original 1984 UK first pressing on Paradox Records:

An electronic, ethnic, and experimental album - very interesting, in my opinion.

The Waking Hour on YouTube:

Gatefold sleeve; when opened, it features "Daybreak", a 1922 painting by the American artist Maxfield Parrish.

Peter Murphy announced a second Dalis Car album in 2010, but unfortunately it was never released due to Mick Karn's illness. He passed away the following year.

News about my Technics SL-1500C

The 1500 finally returned home this week, but nothing was done - no repairs, no parts replaced, nothing at all.
According to Technics, the platter wobble on my unit is considered within tolerance.

Unbelivable.

The only way to solve the wobble would be to have the platter milled (wich is crazy!) or to replace it with a new, properly balanced one.

Sad. Really sad.

See you on Sunday! 👉
