Hi everyone, and welcome back to Records, Cars & Weird Stuff: a blog dedicated to good old music, cars, and vintage objects!
Well, here I am to show you four wonderful new additions to my vinyl collection.
Are you ready?!?!
Let's start with a GEM from 1986 - an album I had dreamed of owning for a long time, and a really expensive one!
To be honest, I bought my copy in Germany, choosing one of the cheapest on the market; cheap, BUT complete with the original inner sleeve.
The album is "Peace Sell… But Who's Buying?" by MEGADETH!!!
An all-time Thrash Metal classic.
I'm really proud to own this record.
Three more great pieces from Italy added to the collection:
1- "Abacab" by Genesis (1981)
This is the first Genesis album added to my collection. An original 1981 italian Vertigo release, complete with inner sleeve.
2- "True Colours" by Split Enz (1980)
Another interesting discovery (for me!): Split Enz, a rock band from New Zealand founded in 1972 by Tim Finn and Phil Judd.
I bought this album mainly for the song "I Got You".
The cover is definetively a piece of art, available in eight different variants.
"Laser-etched graphic record" - another novelty in my collection!
I found and bought this original 1980 A&M "Made in Holland" copy.
3- "In Your Mind" by Bryan Ferry (1977)
I found this original 1977 UK Polydor release here in Italy, in near-mint condition.
As a Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music fan, this is -in my opinion- a good catch!
Unfortuntely, my 1500c is still at the service center, so I haven't been able to test any of my new records yet - and that's really sad!!!!!!!
I've cleaned both the records and the sleeves and stored them in my Kallax.
Maybe this week the 1500c will finally come back home… maybe!
Stay tuned.
