The American Graffiti motion-picture soundtrack is definitely the soundtrack that made me fall in love with 50s and 60s rock 'n' roll, doowop and surf .
In this case as well, I listened to this magical music selection houndreds of times during my childhood and beyond, until today.
Thanks to the online radio stations, such as ABC 50's , Radio Addictive 50s , and others, I discovered innumerable artists from those decades.
In 2017, in occasion of my 30th birthday I fulfilled my dream:
I bought a 1952 Seeburg M100C, fully restored, as an auto-gift, and started buying original 50s/60s 45 rpm records from US to play with it!

Let's get to the point:
when I started collecting records in 2014, I already had the American Graffiti soundtrack on CD; via DiscoGS I discovered two other unofficial compilations containing about thirty hits from 50s and early 60s released in the middle 70s (!):
More American Graffiti and American Graffiti Vol. III.
I bought both in a short time, as well as the official 1973 soundtrack, wich is obvious.
Let's start with some pictures of my American Graffiti collection, in chronological order!
American Graffiti;
official motion-picture soundtrack; original 1973 Pinckneyville pressing in gatefold sleeve; 41 tracks-too many compressed onto two LPs... about 10-11 tracks per side.
The other two unofficial selections (More American Graffiti & American Graffiti vol. III) contain about 30 tracks in total: about 6-7 tracks per side.
More American Graffiti;
here's my UK release from 1975-maybe... the picture inner sleeves are missing, unfortunately.

A compilations that sounds good!
With introductions by the howling, prowling Wolfman Jack!
American Graffiti vol. III;
another UK release from '76; includes original picture inner sleeves!

No Wolfman Jack...
That's all!
Hope you enjoyed this post about American Graffiti!
Thanks for reading, and see you next Sunday:

STAY TUNED!!
