Do you remember the story about my 2009 C4 - aka the worst car of my life?
2009 Citroen C4
Well, today I'm proud to show you the BEST car of my life:
a Giorgetto Gugiaro's masterpiece just like the BMW M1 and the Delorean DMC-12.
Here's my 2002 FIAT PANDA "Young" 1.1 !
An italian icon, produced from 1980 to 2003 in many and incredible versions - including the legendary Steyr-Puch 4X4, a true off-road vehicle.
I bought mine in December 2012 just a few days after I sold the C4.
I was actually looking for a Panda because I thought it was the perfect car for getting around the Po river valley, were we have rough roads and narrow parking spots.
I found my Panda in a small town near me.
It was stored in a box, well maintained, with only 16.000 km, original Pirelli factory tires from 2002 and an insanely fast 1.1 Fire engine under the hood.
Almost perfect "Rosso Ravenna" paint.
It was love at first sight.
Below you can see some photos of the car taken just a few days after I bought it, back in December 2012. It was in near mint conditions - just like most of my vinyls:
Today, after thirteen years, a minor accident, and about 120000 kilometers, the car still runs great - despite some signs of wear, like worn-out shock absorbers and broken rear defroster.
The dashboard is made of cheap plastic and some componets are collapsed. The left door hinge is broken too...
Two photos of the car through the years, with broken right headlight and the shameful "DiscoGS" sticker on the trunk lid:
Some photos of the car today, 2025:
Well,
I love my Panda and I will NEVER scrap it!
But if, one day, "Records, Cars and Weird Stuff" makes me rich, I'll buy a new car for daily use and FIX the Panda.
That's a promise!
Of course, I don't plan to smash it for fun and view$ like many famous YouTubers do...
I hope you enjoyed the story about my 2002 Fiat Panda!
Thanks for reading and see you on Sunday.
