Belgian M31 Adrian

In my town there is one of the largest and most important World War II museums in Italy.

I was proudly part of the museum staff from 2006 to 2010; after that, I moved on to other interests and hobbies, such as vinyl records.

However, World War II history is still one of my main interests: uniforms, aircraft, weapons, and more.

Well, over the years I have collected a few relics from that period - some interesting objects that I would like to show you over time.

Let's start with this unusual Belgian M31 Adrian helmet, which I received as a gift from a friend:

The khaki paint is original, with rust and visible signs of age.

The liner has been rebuilt to match the original by a professional, as the original one was missing.

Inside, it is possible to see the name of the soldier ROUSSEAU, who wore the helmet during those dark days of 1940, during the german invasion of Belgium.

I know this helmet has nothing to do with the local history of a small town in northern Italy, along the Po river; however, I think it is still an interesting piece of history.

Thanks for reading, and see you soon - new vinyls are coming!
