Here we go with some new Italo Disco additions to my collection-a collection made up of original 12" records, often with worn-out sleeves, that were probabibly played in italian discotheques during the '80s; It's a collection that's growing quickly!
I've also created an unofficial thread about my Italo Disco passion: LINK
Well, I found this three gems here in Italy (obviously…);
so let's start with:
1- "Somebody" by Video.
A wonderfoul Italo track that last about 6 minutes; this is the original 1983 12" Fly Music maxi single, with some charming signs of age on the sleeve.
I love this track!!!
2- "Jabdah" by Koto.
Another great Italo Disco piece from 1986; this is the original 1986 12" Memory Records maxi single. The A-side features a long version of the track, about 7:30 minutes, and the B-side has a DJ version.
3- "Juke Box Boy" by Baltimora.
The third and last Italo gem this time; original 12" EMI maxi single from '86. Interestingly, besides two version of Juke Box Boy, this record also includes a track titled Pull The Wires.
And finally, an unrelated record from 1993 that came in the same shipment:
"La Bella e Il Best", a compilation of greatest hits by Francesco SALVI, who in my opinion is one of the greatest italian artist of modern times. He is a multifaceted artist: a very good actor, composer and painter.
Sleeve and inner by SILVER.
Sleeve and inner by SILVER.
I'm waiting for two more records from Belgium, but the shipping is moving slowly…
Thanks for reading and see you on Sunday.
In the next post I'll probably talk about some projects and records that I'm planning to buy in 2026.
