Three new vinyl gems from Berlin

Adding a little more rock to my Kallax.

Three fresh additions to my collection from Recordsale.de (Berlin) — a little mix of hard rock, classic rock, and pure ’80s magic. Every record tells a story, and these ones definitely do.

1 – Sign In Please (Autograph, 1984)

Finally got some real hard rock in my collection — it’s been mostly New Wave, Dark Wave, and Pop lately.

I gave this one a spin last week and instantly loved it. From start to finish, it’s packed with energy and hooks — that classic ’80s sound that makes you crank the volume way up. I’m definitely planning to hunt down the other two albums this underrated band released back in the day.

The not-so-good part:

I paid for what was supposed to be an original 1984 US RCA Indianapolis pressing… but what showed up was the Canadian version. Yeah, not ideal — definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.

Fun fact:

Discogs lists two Canadian pressings: one with a short version of “Turn Up the Radio” (3:58) and another with the full version (4:28).

Luckily, mine’s the long one!

Still, super happy to finally have Sign In Please on my shelf.

2 – Agent Provocateur (Foreigner, 1984)

Another killer rock record from a band I’ve always had a soft spot for. I already own Head Games (1979) and 4 (1981), so picking up their fifth album was a no-brainer.

This one’s a 1984 German pressing made for the European market, complete with the inner sleeve and insert. Classic Foreigner sound — smooth production, strong vocals, and that signature ’80s polish.

3 – Be Yourself Tonight (Eurythmics, 1985)

Please, don't laugh...

US pressing, inner sleeve included… and yeah, a massive drill hole on the left side of the cover.

Don’t laugh, please…

All three records got the usual treatment: pre-washed with the Knosti, then cleaned and dried with my trusty Humminguru.
Soon I’ll share a detailed post showing exactly how I clean and store my vinyl — stay tuned!

Thanks for reading and see you on Sunday.
