"Don't Say No", the second album by Billy Squier and the first Billy Squier album in my Kallax!
I bought this record only for one track, probably one of the most famous track of Squier's musical career: "The Stroke".
Here you can see an original US Winchester pressing from 1981 that I found here in Italy, in Naples.
Nice shot!!
Well, I listened to the entire album, and in my opinion, "Don't Say No" is a very good and genuine rock album from the beginning to the end!
A good (pop)rock album such as "Loverboy" by "Loverboy" from 1980 or "4" by Foreigner from 1981: I love both.
No more words.
And, since I don't like CDs (LINK), below you can see four gems I received this week from the fabulous Recordsale.de (Recordsale.de):
1- "Sports", the famous 1983 album by Huey Lewis & The News, here in a 1985 Chrysalis german release on CD.
A must-have for "Back To The Future" fans around he world!
2- "Small World", another Huey Lewis album from 1988, here in an original '88 US CD release.
3- "Bryan Ferry / Roxy Music - Street Life - 20 Great Hits".
I'm a fan of Bryan Ferry & Roxy Music, and I collect all vinyl albums from both Ferry's solo career and Roxy Music! I'm not a compilation enthusiast, I prefer original band albums because I love discovering ALL the songs beyond the "greatest hits". However, I think "Street Life" is a well-made Ferry career compilation that couldn't be missing from my collection.
It's a Holland release, I can't find precise information about the release year, but I think that is an original '86 release.
4- "Parklife", the 1994 britpop masterpiece by BLUR!!!
Take a guess!
I'm a BLUR fan! Here you can see my original 1994 italian release:
M-A-S-T-E-R-P-I-E-C-E!!
Thank you for reading, hope you enjoyed this post and see you on Sunday!
